Vapor Scrub is formulated for the safe and environmental control of hazardous vapors prior to tank entry in cleaning operations.

What is it?

Vapor Scrub is a non-toxic, non- lammable, non-hazardous synthesized encapsulating chemistry. It semi-permanently binds hazardous vapors present in the headspace and creates a micro-emulsion that continues to assist in the further treatment of solids and hydrocarbons in the tank cleaning process.

Designed to meet the unique needs of today’s specialized tank cleaning operations, Vapor Scrub effectively makes tank entry safer and helps operators comply with new, strict environmental standards. QuikClean is:

How it works

Vapor Scrub suppresses and reduces volatile organic compounds (VOCs) prior to tank entry, while simultaneously decreasing lower explosive limits (LELs). Vapor Scrub then continues to control LELs and encapsulate VOCs long after entry, even as tank bottom solids are being agitated.

Vapor Scrub can also be formulated to control hydrogen sulfide (H 2S) , converting H2S to a non-reactive compound of elemental sulfur. This process reduces hazardous off gasing, allowing for quicker, safe tank entry.

Using Vapor Scrub tank entry is quick, safe, simple, and assists in compliance with new Department of Environmental Quality regulations on the use of light cycle oils (LCOs) in degassing operations.

Unlike most chemical treatments, Vapor Scrub efficiently controls the LELs caused by light hydrocarbon vaporization, and does so without creating any additional hazardous by-products. It is nearly 100% biodegradable, phosphorous and boron free, and helps you comply with new environmental standards.
